Gentlemen – the New Year brings a new venue and an interesting innovation by your Catering Officer in the form of an English Whisky Tasting and Tour at the Distillers Lounge on Aberdeen Walk (the former Scarborough Evening News office) on Thursday 15 January 2026. The evening starts with a taste of Filey Bay whisky accompanied by a selection of nibbles followed by a tour of the whisky vaults and finishes with a 2 course meal of steak and wine pie and dessert. Members are asked to gather in the bar in the Distillers Lounge from 7.00pm ready for a prompt start at 7.30pm. For those members who cannot wait until 7.00pm for their first drink of the evening your Secretary has proposed meeting in the Angel in North Street from 6.00pm.
