Gentlemen,
Following a very enjoyable evening at Gianni’s we are approaching our traditional summer break, and do not reconvene until September.
May I therefore take this opportunity to wish you all a good summer, and to thank members for all their efforts in supporting the club.
In the meantime, Bridlington 41 Club are celebrating their 20th anniversary on Saturday 6th June and have invited us to join them. Richard, myself and new member Paul – plus our partners – are going and have hired a large taxi. If anyone else would like to join us, please contact me for more details. At the moment there are still two places left in the taxi.
Charity Donations: Members agreed at our last meeting that the charity monies raised at our 70th Charter Night would be divided into:
- Andys Man Club – £500
- St. Catherine’s Hospice – £775
Next 41 Club Charity Night: This is being held at the Cloughton & Burniston Parish Hall on Saturday 6th March 2027. The Cloughton Rat Pack have agreed to perform free of charge and usually draw a large crowd, so we are hoping to attract up to 150 guests.
End with a joke
I was going to leave you with a joke about chemistry, but I’m not sure that would get a reaction. Instead, how about the new range of perfumes that don’t smell of anything – total non-scents!
All the best
Simon
