Greetings Gentlemen and thank you for your various good wishes and enquiries about my health.
A week ago, I was lying in a hospital bed awaiting my angioplasty (medical speak for ‘Dyno-Rod’ operation) to clear a blocked coronary artery. No one likes operations but I was relatively calm until the doctor arrived.
‘Ah, Mr Lockley,’ he said with a warm smile. ‘You’re the complex case. I’ve been looking forward to this one!’
I said, ‘Well, I’m glad one of us is doctor!’
Anyway, two hours later I was back on the ward following my drain clearage just in time for the lunch trolley. It was fish and chips followed by jam roly-poly and custard. Couldn’t help wondering if this was wise, but it seemed rude to say no…
On a more serious note, I am very grateful for the expertise and kindness of the staff at Castle Hill. They were brilliant.
