Christmas 2019 Message from the Chairman

Unfortunately, I will not be at the 41 Club December meeting as we are away from the UK visiting family in the Oman, but I am sure you will all have a great time at the Az restaurant on Columbus Ravine, which serves delightful Turkish food.

The Vice Chairman, Dave Ascough, will oversee the meeting, so please treat him gently!

Simon Lockley challenged Gordon Hayes to a game of Badminton last month and regretted his decision after only a few minutes. Gordon’s aggressive tactics from the start led to Simon falling to the floor in agony after dislocating his knee. An ambulance was required to take Simon to hospital where he underwent surgery to restore his knee to its rightful place! We wish Simon a speedy recovery.

On Sunday 29 December, we are having an open house (address and telephone number in the Club Directory – Ed) from 1pm to 4pm with drinks and nibbles, so you are all more than welcome to visit us, but it would be appreciated if you let me know for catering purposes.

During this festive season of giving, let us take time to slow down and enjoy the simple things.

Wishing you all much happiness not just at Christmas, but throughout the New Year.
