On Thursday, 17 October 2019, we will be treated to home made seasonal Game Pie followed by a slideshow talk by our very own Sir Nigel de Sheppard.
The evening:
Please note: this is an early start event.
The bar at the Bryherstones opens at 5.30 so please make sure that you are there by 6.00 at the latest because we eat at 6.30 sharp in the upstairs dining room. This is up the stairs to the right hand side of the bar.
The meal:
The starter is prawn and smoked salmon salad served with buttered brown bread.
The main dish is home made Game Pie served with seasonal vegetables and lashings of tasty gravy. All the pies are made by Sally ‘the fair’ Shipley of Radford farm fame. Scrummy !
Included in the price is some good wine on the table. When that is gone you need to buy your own directly.
Talk:
Nigel will present on “Dr. Beeching Sexual Revolutionary or What did you get up to on the school bus?”
Transport:
It’s accepted that the Bryherstones is a bit of a hike distance-wise on an early autumn evening hence the early start. As an experiment this month (suggested by Mick Thorpe) if anyone is going to miss the evening because transport is a problem then please contact Tom Cathcart who may be able to sort something out!
Apologies:
Please use the 41 Club website in the usual way.
Best wishes
The Catering Team
