Proposed Calendar of Events 2022-23

Our Catering Officer and his catering team are well ahead of themselves and have put together a proposed list of Scarborough 41 Club events for the next Club year.

26 May (note date change)
Geo’s Restaurant, Foreshore Road, Scarborough Cocktail Bar & Vibrant Dining, slap bang on Scarborough seafront. Harbour views. “City Vibe, Sea Side.” preceded by drinks and a talk on the Sea-grown Boat.
18 August
Summer BBQ – Nag’s Head. The Nag’s Head is a family run, Traditional Village public house. It is the beating heart of Scalby Village!
15 September
“Open night” Tapas Night at La Roca Little Piece of Spain in the back streets of Scarborough or Marisco Lounge like all the comforts of home but better, unless you have a chef and bar in your lounge.
20 October
Indian night, Scarborough Tandoori. Scarborough Tandoori Restaurant is the longest established Indian Restaurant in Scarborough and is renowned for the quality of the service and food.
17 November
“Open night” at the Rugby Club with club speaker. The Rugby Club’s function rooms boast spectacular views of the North Yorkshire coast, and each room benefits from a private bar, under-floor heating and air-conditioning.
TBC December
Xmas dinner/luncheon with partners. Wrea Head Hall. The dining experience will make catch your breath as you see the glistening glassware, sparkling cutlery and snow white napkins… and that’s before the food is brought to you by their attentive front of house staff, prepared by their dedicated kitchen brigade.

Burns’ Night, Crescent Hotel? Joint with RT combines fine dining, ambience, and outstanding customer service to offer the best British Cuisine experience for the most discerning diner.
16 February
Gourmet Meal at Restaurant NINETEEN09. You are invited to sample the finest international cuisine at NINETEEN09 from some of the UK’s most promising chefs and up-and-coming front-of house talent.
16 March
Asian Meal at SABA.  Come and experience two amazing restaurants, on two floors, with two distinct flavours.
20 April
AGM at the Yacht Club. Scarborough Yacht Club is situated in the Lighthouse building at the end of the central pier of Scarborough harbour. The Club has enviable views across the harbour and South Bay, especially from the balcony where you can take in all the activities both on and off the water. You are assured of a friendly welcome at the bar with food being served.

The above are the proposed dates and venues for the forthcoming year. The “Open” nights are exactly that and members are encouraged to bring along a like-minded guest for the Club to make welcome and encourage new membership.

The Catering Committee have also been discussing a Chairman’s Night/Charity Party which will include partners. Further details to follow.
