Our next Club meeting is 25 September: toxophily and chips

Mediaeval_archery_reenactmentOur next Club meeting is to be held on Thursday, 25 September 2014, commencing at 5.30 pm at Seamer Sports Ground, just off Pasture Lane.

There we will be guests of Scarborough Archers who will induct members into this ancient of sports and let you have at the target (or nearest seagull). Anyone wearing green tights gets extra bonus points.

Afterwards we will move to Walkers Fish and Chip Restaurant in East Ayton where Elaine and Mick Waller will look after us for a two-course meal – usual time of 7.30 for 8.00pm. We will also have a talk on the history of archery from a senior member of Scarborough Archers.

If you cannot make the archery part of the evening, please feel free to come along for the meal.

Please note: it is important that we know how many members can attend the archery part of the evening to help our hosts plan the event.

This is the first of our normal Club meetings after the summer recess so everyone is opted in and attendance is assumed. Here’s the procedure if you can’t attend or can only come along later:

If you cannot attend at all on the evening, please use the usual apologies form on the website.

If you are unable come to the archery, but can attend the meal please use the form below:
